In SUSE 10.0 I configured with Yast my printer HP PSC 2110 with HP-PSC_2100-hpijs.ppd.gz. That works fine, but not for the Gimp 2.2.8 So I configured, again with Yast, the same printer with HP-PSC_2100-gimp-print.ppd.gz The testprint was okay but printing from within Gimp resulted in %!PS-Adobe-3.0 %%Creator: Print plug-in V4.2 for GIMP?Gimp-Print 4.2.7 (15 Jul 20 Can somebody tell me what went wrong? Thanks, André den Oudsten

Don't know if this helps, but I configured my printers not in Yast but in the kde control center (in admin mode/as root). It just works to the printer connected to my PC and via Samba on a windows printer. (The first time i printed from gimg I had to choose the right printer settings in the gim printer dialog as well.) I assume you print in "raw" mode from Gimp. I guess there is a print command set in Gimp which includes the option "-o raw" or you could perhaps toggle a radio button or whatever there is in the Gimp print dialog. "Raw" mode means when the application (here Gimp) produces readymade printer-specific data (i.e. the application itself runs the printer-specific printer driver). In Gimp you can set up a Gimp-Print printer driver for many models (but not for so many models as with YaST which can set up any available printer driver on the system for CUPS). If and only if you did set up a Gimp-Print printer driver in Gimp, you can print from Gimp in "raw" mode.
