hi all, i want to sniff (i think it is the right word) all header communication between hotmail and my browser netscape. Those i'm interested are the lines containing "Header: ...." lines. I want to check which headers hotmail send to prevent damned IE to cache pages. (if you choose increased security at logon IE doesn't cache pages) which program (and if possible how) should i use to do this task? regards. -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
Etheral is a fairly nice ( for a free product ) sniffer package.... most likely though, they're just sending a tag in the meta info of the pages (not the packets) that tells IE (and possibly netscape) not to cache the doc. - Herman On Wed, 14 Jun 2000, Tuncay Baskan wrote: ->>hi all, ->>i want to sniff (i think it is the right word) all ->>header communication between hotmail and my browser ->>netscape.
