If the information in bnc#483916 is correct, just add an oss repository, which contains a timezone-java which provides a tzdata-java.

Do you mean the normal openSUSE 11.0 oss installation source? If so this does not help, it is available and the error still occurs. Sven -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Sorry, I didn't read carefully. The 11.0 has a broken update and will be fixed asap, it's a different problem than in 11.0 (and bnc#483974). Michal Vyskocil

Could you rephrase that? 11.0 and 11.0? - -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. Bad choice problem description by the solver. "java-1_6_0-openjdk-1.4_b14-24.2.i586" is broken, but it's not from a standard openSUSE-11.1 repository. The real question is why the correct update version with relese "24.2.1" is not installable. So, what happens if you do: zypper in java-1_6_0-openjdk-1.4_b14-24.2.1 Cheers, Michael. -- Michael Schroeder mls@suse.de SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF Markus Rex, HRB 16746 AG Nuernberg main(_){while(_=~getchar())putchar(~_-1/(~(_|32)/13*2-11)*13);} -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I might have misunderstood you, but this issue only happens on openSUSE 11.0, not 11.1, hence the package is not from the 11.1 repo. Sven -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Oops, my mistake. The 'grep' command I used to check the updates was wrong. java-1_6_0-openjdk-1.4_b14-24.2 is indeed released for 11.0. And the package is indeed broken: $ rpm -qp --provides java-1_6_0-openjdk-1.4_b14-24.2.x86_64.rpm | grep tzdata tzdata-java = 2008i $ rpm -qp --conflicts java-1_6_0-openjdk-1.4_b14-24.2.x86_64.rpm | grep tzdata tzdata-java Thus it's a packageing bug, and we need to re-relase a fixed update. Thus it's a packageing bug, and we need to re-relase a fixed update.
We have disabled the openjdk update on 11.0 and will release a fixed one soon. Ciao, Marcus -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
