suse7.0 kernel upgrade to 2.2.19
Hi, I have Suse 7.0 kernel 2.2.16-17 and I desire to upgrade it to 2.2.19. I have downloaded the approproiate rpm modules, but rpm refuses to install the package. The only message I get is "cannot be installed" What is wrong and where do I find the appropriate information to enable me to upgrade the kernel successfully? Cheers Brian
It is hard to say what may cause this. You should be able to click on the rpm in Konq and have a look at it. If it will not open, it may be corrupted. Also check permissions. I use Vanilla kernels. There is a lot of information on the list about compiling these. Brian Marr On Tue, 9 Apr 2002 17:29, you wrote:
