Perhaps, something goes wrong with file associations. Or even with this new subfs stuff. Try to enter your directory in the URL line. What happens? IMHO, the subfs stuff SuSE installs, is a little bit buggy. Make the traditional settings in /etc/fstab. (look at http://portal.suse.com/sdb/en/2004/05/hmeyer_91_revert_from_subfs.html). Since i've done that, my system just run s fine. Alex, I get the same problem when putting the directory in the URL line. I'm accessing my local hard drive, so subfs shouldn't be an issue, I would have thought. I just tried running Konq as root, and the problem does not occur. Des

Alex,
I get the same problem when putting the directory in the URL line. I'm accessing my local hard drive, so subfs shouldn't be an issue, I would have thought.

============ Des, Did you happen to keep or copy over all your old .kde directory settings? The reason it probably works as root is because it had a fresh install for everything, even a new .kde directory. Try renaming or deleting the user .kde directory and see if the error still occurs. Remember also that your users started out in the 500 range for 9.0 and is now 1000 for 9.1, so you'll have to set any config file permissions to the "new" user. Don't snip. There's an "l" on the next line you missed. try the above but with html instead of htm. SuSE isn't running IIS :)
