Hey Group; I noticed a new problem with Yast at the selection part of an install. That is that it wants a /media/floppy (default setting) to export or save the user.sel file on. Problem is there is not a /media directory so if fails. I went to an alternate tty# and did mkdir which fixed the problem, Yast then would either write to a FAT or ext2 floppy to the default fd0. It also had problems on the HD reboot trying to run fsck on my usb hard drive sda1. Fixed this by editing fstab and removing the mention of sda1. Under 9.2 it was listed under subfs and not as a common IDE type HD like 9.3. Finally, why is Mozilla missing the "Mail&Newgroup" function? I will say that so far is a pretty small list. Good work so far Novell/SuSE. -- 73 de Donn Washburn Hpage: " http://www.hal-pc.org/~n5xwb " Ham Callsign N5XWB Email: " n5xwb@hal-pc.org " 307 Savoy St. HAMs: " n5xwb@arrl.net " Sugar Land, TX 77478 BMW MOA #: 4146 - Ambassador LL# 1.281.242.3256 " http://counter.li.org " #279316

I never saw this or may be just ignored it, I haven't got a floppy drive on the laptops and I didn't have a floppy in the drive on this box. There used to be a very long pause where (8.2 - 9.2) it was looking for a file on a floppy, don't think i saw that on 9.3.

May be mozilla-mail is not installed.

I did have one problem with usb where I had to modprobe usbhid, uhci-hcd, ehci-hcd, ohci-hcd, then mount /proc/bus/usb, running mkinitrd seemed to fix that. Regards Sid. -- Sid Boyce ... Well Sid; You and I have the same ASUS A7N8X-E MB (as I remember). However, the need of the floppy drive was for a SuSE9.3 configuration disk. I always do that to circumvent the need to reselect all of the programs I want to install. This is done in case something fails. It is found during a Manual Selection > File > Export. -- 73 de Donn Washburn Hpage: " http://www.hal-pc.org/~n5xwb " Ham Callsign N5XWB Email: " n5xwb@hal-pc.org " 307 Savoy St. HAMs: " n5xwb@arrl.net " Sugar Land, TX 77478 BMW MOA #: 4146 - Ambassador LL# 1.281.242.3256 " http://counter.li.org " #279316
