Hey all, Running a freshly installed 8.2 system on an AMD Athlon 2,0GHz, with 768 MB RAM, and have run YOU to get the necessary updates. I am trying to view : http://www.richsalter.btinternet.co.uk/ In konqueror which contains a flash file for Clay Kitten Shooting ;). The problem I am having is that nspluginviewer crashes with signal 11 when the page opens! The page works fine under Win98, and I would love to have it work on my SuSE box. I am trying to persuade my partner to switch - she already loves the online journal update programs, the funkeh games, but flash sites are something of a useful thing (tm) for her, especially fun ones like this ;) Thank you for your time. Same with my system. I think I said something about this happening to me a couple days ago. I'm gonna try and find another SuSE rpm of flashplayer and re-install it and see if that makes any difference. John - -- I needed fresh bugs for my SuSE gecko, and Linux penguin. Same setup as yours (8.2 with all YOU updates). No problem - apart from not beeing able to hit any of those cats ... Greetings from Bremen hartmut
Hi, I tried the link, worked perfect for me with konqueror. Which flashplayer are you using ? (I use version 6). On Saturday 21 June 2003 13:00, The Purple Tiger wrote:

Hey Marco, Thanks for getting back to me. I am using version 6 too. I can view the front page of http://www.nathanr.com which has a small flash anim, but the clay kitten shooting site has a problem of crashing every time - it doesn't even appear to load the complete thing before it crashes. :o/ Hmm :/ I'll just try running konqueror from the command line to see if that will give any more output that might help. Hmm... and now it is running every single time!. I have just started it several times in a row [well, 10 actually] from the command line, and 10 time from the Konqueror item on the kicker bar [is that the correct term] and now it is working ! wtf?! Hmm.. Will keep an eye on this little gremlin :) I have disabled sound through artsd which was causing a few issues with sound delays too, and no problems either Hmm, one very confused user sitting here ;)

Here too.!.! I was having the same problem with nspluginviewer crashing randomly. I went through Konq's Configure Konqueror,Plugins,Directories and removed all that were not present in the file system. I only have /opt/mozilla/plugins and $MOZILLA_HOME/plugins in the list now. I then did the Scan for New Plugins. I can now do http://www.richsalter.btinternet.co.uk/ -or- more accurately I can try and hit the clay kitties... This hasn't fixed the slowness at some sites such as http://TheRegister.co.uk for me. Stan

I still can't get the richsalter.btinternet.co.uk/ site to load, it crashes every time. I opened a konsole and tried the command line to open konqueror, and it still crashed, and this is all the konsole showed: WARNING: KDE detected X Error: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes) \x08 Major opcode: * Anyone have an idea what this warning/thing means?
