Olaf, You probably intended to write this to the german list, but you subscribed to the english one. For the non german speakers: The question is how to get his CD Writer working. The answer is not enough data. What type of CD writer do you use? SCSI? IDE/ATAPI? For the latter, you need the ide-scsi kernel module. Try to use the kernel parameter "ide-scsi=hdc" or whatever yor writer is. Have a look in your manual, read about append parameters. Some information is provided there. Your device will work as /dev/scd0 with the scsi emulation. If you run "cdrecord -scanbus" afterwards you'll see it listed as device 0,0,0.
