Is it true that there is no more ncurse verion of yast??? I hope it's not, because if so I would be obliged to stop immediatly any work on suse. half of my work is done on servers without any graphic config... jdd -- pour m'écrire, aller sur: http://www.dodin.net http://valerie.dodin.net http://arvamip.free.fr

It's not true. open a shell, become root and type yast instead of yast2. -- Dr. Martin Sommer Product Manager Consumer Products SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, Maxfeldstraße 5, D-90409 Nürnberg Phone: +49 (0) 911 740 530 Fax: +49 (0) 911 740 53 575 Email: martin.sommer@suse.com ----------------------------------------------------------

No, it's not true. YaST1 disappeared a long time ago, and for a long time there was no good ncurses alternative, but the newer SUSE releases have a quite usable ncurses version. Just run "yast" instead of "yast2" in X, or if you don't have X running, either command will launch the ncurses version (assuming you have yast2-ncurses installed)

nice :-!!! I read this on an other thread, open an xterm... an no yast, only a YaSTadminsession. but in su, no problem. ouf ! I always use yast in ncurse (mostly with 9.0 nowaday) and it's always be much better than competitors one :-)))) good to see. jdd -- pour m'écrire, aller sur: http://www.dodin.net http://valerie.dodin.net http://arvamip.free.fr
