Hi Is it possible to login to a remote server (on an internal network) using ssh and execute programmes etc. as a batch job i.e. unattended, using a script? I have tried a few things without success and am definitely missing something as far as ssh goes. Any help would be gratefully received! Write your script, transfer it to the remote host and run it with ssh remote.host.com script Ciao, Stefan -- Stefan Troeger o _ _ _ stefan@troeger.st __o __o /\_ _ \\o (_)\__/o (_) _`\<, _`\<, _>(_) (_)/<_ \_| \ _|/' \/ (_)/(_) (_)/(_) (_) (_) (_) (_)' _\o_

Write your script, transfer it to the remote host and run it with
ssh remote.host.com script
If you want to run it unattended (say from cron) you probably need to create a key pair without passphrase. -Kastus
