I have to get a DSL connection for my DELL workstation. Is there any experience of DSL with SuSE ?? I have also Windows but I primarily use SuSE as my development environment. I know there are some different DSL types corresponding to different performances. As far as I'm concerned I need DSL to be able to work remotely on Biomedical Imaging applications so graphics is critical. I'd greatly appreciate some advice about which DSL connection can be appropriate for my needs and which DSL provider is more trustable (I live in St. Louis MO). Thank you in advance for your attention. MEM
I would give DirectTV a shot. They bought Telocity and you don't need their other services. You can get it as a stand alone broadband connect. You get 1 static ip address and it's 1.5/1.5 SDSL. It's totally simple to setup. My officemate has it and he loves it. Give it a shot. :) BTW..I'm from STL but I'm in California now and I had swbell dsl..never had any issues with it, but I had their business class DSL which was 5 static ips and 1.5/684k ADSL. It was..ok. * Maura Edelweiss (memonvil@artsci.wustl.edu) [020424 22:59]: ::I have to get a DSL connection for my DELL workstation. ::Is there any experience of DSL with SuSE ?? ::I have also Windows but I primarily use SuSE as my development ::environment. :: ::I know there are some different DSL types corresponding to different ::performances. ::As far as I'm concerned I need DSL to be able to work remotely on ::Biomedical Imaging applications so graphics is critical. :: ::I'd greatly appreciate some advice about which DSL connection can be ::appropriate for my needs and which DSL provider is more trustable (I ::live in St. Louis MO). :: ::Thank you in advance for your attention. ::MEM :: ::-- ::To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com ::For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com ::Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com :: -=Ben --=====-----=====-- mailto:ben@whack.org --=====-- If it's true that our species is alone in the universe, then I'd have to say that the universe aimed rather low and settled for very little. -GC --=====-----=====--
