All correct, but before running mkswap, you should use fdisk to set the partition-(fs)-type to "Linux Swap" or 0x82.
It's surely neater this way, but I wonder if this is really required. Does `mkswap', or any other Linux tool, really checks? -- François Pinard http://www.iro.umontreal.ca/~pinard -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/

IIRC, mkswap doesn't check the partition type. Ciao, Stefan -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
