You realize, of course, that by making comparisons between Windows and any other product, you have violated your EULA. On the other hand, I doubt there's a court anywhere in the USA which would uphold that provision, as it violates your free speech rights, and you cannot sign away your rights, even if it's in a contract [this is why assisted-suicide contracts are null and void, and being the surviving member of such an agreement will land you in jail -- nobody can sign away their right to life, not even if they want to.] -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
Where does the EULA say that?

1) Please don't top-post 2) Read it. The MS EULAs state that you can't publish any comparisons between MS products and other products without written consent from Microsoft. In other words, MS says that the ONLY comparisons you can make with MS products is with other MS products. I.e. you are only allowed to compare crappy with not-as-crappy. But as I said...it's an empty threat. No court in the world would recognize a contractual "obligation" to surrender your Right of Free Speech.

If you are just a user of W (and not the one who committed the computer misuse by installing it) you didn't even click any accept-box and you are not bound by any EULA or whatever contract and can compare no matter what. Even if you installed a W, you can still compare W on another machine, where you havn't accepted anything... However, at least here in Switzerland you can accept all and every clickable post-sale contract. It's just for nothing: all contracts are null if you see them only *after* the purchase of the product. But of course it's much better not telling anybody when using W. People could laugh at you. And this is just *your* rambling and/or an inherent need to be in front spewing forth. The msg you are responding is marked OT in the subject line and has directly to do with linux or openSUSE, yet you chose to expand it in an inappropriate forum. Please show the openSUSE users a little respect and try to adhere to the conference guidelines (trimming quotes, on-topic subjects) while assisting others and noobs in learning and administering openSUSE. -- Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://counter.li.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

And your ranting to the OP about the same is where? -- "...most politicians are like movie stars. They surround themselves with sycophants and yes-men and people to whisper nice shit into their ears – and a lot of them start believing it, because they want to believe it. It's all a great big game to them, but a game where everything is process and damned little of it is product. They're not like real people. They don't do any real work, but they appear to." They don't know when to stop, and they don't know how to use their power intelligently." - Jack Ryan in Tom Clancy's 'Red Rabbit' -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

And when will you stop making useless full quotes?

Full quotes are only needed if you pull someone into the discussion that isn't subscribed to the list. Otherwise you either have the mail thread or post the URL to the mail in the list archive. So again, in most cases, quoting the full text is just showing laziness. Quite more than "just". It also shows disrespect and/or ignorance that it litters archives and web search databases with useless duplication. -- ". . . . in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you . . . ."
