I just installed Opera and got the update through YOU and...it segfaults on my system also (SuSE 9.3).

move ~/.opera ~/.operaX

then try starting opera from the command line so you can see the errors.

if opera now operates as you desire,

cp ~/.operaX/opera6.adr ~/.opera/opera6.adr (say yes to overright)

to regain your bookmarks
