[opensuse] Nvidia repos seem broken
Is there a contact person for Nvidia to inform about the opensuse nvidia repos being currently broken or is this a question of faith? Currently the content of the repo is broken and this "could" be due to the 42.2 update being reorganized badly. Therefore the question. Thank you. --- Die Bundesliga hat begonnen! How about "like every time a new openSUSE version gets released"? as in, takes the nvidia people some time to realize that they have to create a new repo. Seriously, this happens every time and is the main reason I'm not an early adopter. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

perhaps you would have better luck with packages from: http://http.download.nvidia.com/XFree86/Linux-x86_64/ requires additional packages: kernel-devel kernel-{your flavor}-devel, ie: kernel-default-devel application from cl in multi-user.target (no graphical instance running) sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-370.28.run -aqs return to graphical.target note: 375.10 works but after initiating graphical.target and returning to multi-user.target, there are no chars displayed in tty's (haven't tested for kernel-default-4.8.7-1.1.x86_64). note(2): Need to be aware of mesa packages being updated as the nvidia package overwrites some and would need to be reinstalled. -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri Photos: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 Photos: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/piwigo @ http://linuxcounter.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

I think that we have to give thanks that there is even a repo. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 13.1 x86_64 "Bottle" at Telcontar)
