Play with the vga= settings at the bootprompt. See /usr/src/linux/Documentation/fb/vesafb.txt, 2nd table (RTFM).

Perhaps someone will come over and install them for you.

You do *not* need a DVD drive. They are available by ftp @ suse.

The kernel source isn't an src.rpm, it's available on the CDs. You don't even need a net connection
