Gross, who came to Microsoft in 1996, was a vice president for developer tools before being named vice president of the Redmond, Washington-based company's mobility group, AP reported. He said he is leaving to spend more time with his family, AP said. Bob Muglia, who heads Microsoft's .Net plan for providing premium subscription services over the Internet, will take over for Gross until a replacement is found, Microsoft spokesman Matt Pilla told AP.
