[SLE] Can't View Web Pages or send and Receive e-mail
Hello Anyone know what to do with this one ? For about two weeks now I've been having a chat with SuSE tech support about not being able to exchange web pages or e-mail with my ISP. The machine connects fine but I get "PAP auth failed". No one knows what to make of this. SuSE 6.3. Elsa ISDN PCI 1000 card. ISDN2e. I've had a chat to the Debian server personage at my ISP and he says it looks good from his end so it must be something on my PC ? I've even sent mail to the ISDN list in Germany. They can't work it out either. Can anyone make any suggestions ? How are you trying to connect? Here are two suggestions for "flakey" pap connections -- 1) Try connecting with wvdial, using stupid mode. 2) Try connecting using terminal-based authentication, as provided by kppp or ezppp. hope this helps cll -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
