Hi Everyone, Just wanted to try to solve some problems that I'm having out of the box with SuSE 6.4 - 1.) Has anyone else had trouble with the version of KPackage included in SuSE 6.4? Mine stops responding after the loading progress bar fills all the way. RPM database seems to be fine (both RPM and GnoRPM work)... 2.) Is there any way to pause the progress for a few seconds on a rc.d script? My xfstt script doesn't work unless I comment out the --sync command, since I have 256 true type fonts. If I could pause the progress long enough for the --sync to finish, that would be great! Thanks, Tim ----------------------------------------------------------------- Timothy R. Try Ctrl-S to stop it and Ctrl-Q to reactivate it.

That's a bug in /etc/rc.d/xfstt. Remove the startproc from the xfsst --sync line. Ciao, Stefan -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq
Stefan,
That's a bug in /etc/rc.d/xfstt. Remove the startproc from the xfsst --sync line.
Thanks, it works great! To the SuSE employees on the list: did you note this bug for SuSE 6.5? Thanks again, Tim ----------------------------------------------------------------- Timothy R. and this one works fine!

Hi Jean-François, Thanks for the information, I'll go do that. It'll be great to have KPackage working again - it's much nicer than GnoRPM... -Tim ----------------------------------------------------------------- Timothy R.
