Hi everyone, Just after the main cron job for the night started (default Suse crontab) the whole system crashed and I had to do a hard reboot and I found these and bounch of other similar messages logged. Any ideas what caused and how to fix. Suse kernel sources for 2.2.16 self compiled and yes I had the vm fix Lenz posted earlier to the list Thanks Oct 7 00:01:22 isguzar kernel: VM: do_try_to_free_pages failed for kswapd... Do you have the real latest sources from SuSE of their kernel? I remember that they re-issued a second release of that kernel for those VM problems. I think they are in 6.4 update directory. -- Rafael -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq

Positive I do have the latest downloaded. What might went wrong be is the alsa 0.60 pre 1 since it was the last thing I was compiling -- Togan Muftuoglu toganm@turk.net -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq
