[opensuse] Re: linux mp3 encoder except from lame

Is there a working mp3 encoder for opensuse 12 except from lame? I would like to recode a few mp3 files to lower bitrates but lame chokes on them with segmentation fault. There is no problem to play them with audacious or mpg123.
Easiest way:
#+BEGIN_EXAMPLE
lame --mp3input

Easiest way:
#+BEGIN_EXAMPLE lame --mp3input
#+END_EXAMPLE Your command doesn't work because the input is raw PCM. You will need to use the "-r" switch and specify the sample rate and stereo mode, for example:
#+BEGIN_EXAMPLE mpg123 -s
| lame -r -s 44.1 -m j - #+END_EXAMPLE
Thank you, it works. I missed the -r option. Istvan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
