The size downloaded is 2147483647, which is just 1 byte less than 2GB. If I recall correctly, wget has a 2GB limit for ftp downloads. Or if I'm wrong, check the filesystem you write to. FAT32 has 2GB file limit too. Sunny -- Get Firefox http://www.spreadfirefox.com/?q=affiliates&id=10745&t=85

Also, older versions of ReiserFS have a 2GB limit. There is a way to mount it so that newer files don't have the 2GB without recreating the filesystem. I'll try and track down the answer. Jeffrey

Copy and pasted from another SuSE list (with attribution): Mount options for reiserfs Reiserfs is a journaling filesystem. The reiserfs mount options are more fully described at http://www.namesys.com/mount-options.html. conv Instructs version 3.6 reiserfs software to mount a version 3.5 file system, using the 3.6 format for newly created objects. This file system will no longer be compatible with reiserfs 3.5 tools. Andreas.

Ken,
I think I found the problem. wget 1.8.xx has a 2 Gig limit. I have been
looking, but I haven't found an updated rpm for 9.0 that is patched for LFS
support. What version of wget are you using??

Have a look on the mirrors for the split iso - I got it with wget just fine - the nice thing about wget is that it can resume if your connection dies! Once you have the two split parts, you just need to cat
david rankin wrote: them to the final iso, check the md5 and burn - easy! Hope that helps, H PS I got mine from ftp.gwdg.de - but it seems they no longer have the split isos, maybe check the other german mirrors first. The files are called SUSE-Linux-9.2-FTP-DVD.iso.part1 and SUSE-Linux-9.2-FTP-DVD.iso.part2 if you want to search.
