Uhm, well then shouldn't that be a bug repor to the Pine developer then?
Perhaps. But, AFAIK, Pine is not maintained much, they are preparing "alpine" instead, still in alpha phase (v0.9999. or near). I should try that one. - -- Cheers, Carlos E. How come, you have that same email?

No, but I sent myself one with said subject, and nothing happened. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Well maybe it's not the subject, but the mail itself which causes pine to crash?
Mmmm could be... but that would be even more weird. - -- Cheers, Carlos E. If I got an email with a subject line like that, I would erase it, instantly! In either OS. And I have a pretty good email checker in Windows, but nothing, after all, is perfect! --doug -- Blessed are the peacemakers ... for they shall be shot at from both sides. --A.M. In windows, yes. In Linux, it should be perfectly harmless, or it is a bug. It is just text, after all. And I was curious, because it seemed like a bash script in a single line (if it is, I don't know what it could be), so I tried. - -- Cheers, Carlos E. Carlos, can you dump the mail to text and look at it in a hex editor to see if it contains any of the extended ASCII character set that might cause the problem. Or can you just look at /var/spool/mail/carlos directly with the hex editor? -- David C. Rankin, J.D., P.E.
