The logs are probably in /var/log/httpd/. -- Vote early and often. Apathy only encourages the bums.

Locating logs in /var/log/apache2 would make sense to me, or for that matter *any* logs should be based off the /var/log directory. Why should you look at say /etc/ssh or whatever, when /var/log/ssh just makes things easier? I can understand some of the SuSE reasoning, but some of the directory tree is just weird. (compared to other dists) For the original poster of this thread, there is a conflict with the Apache2 php and some other module. Check in the archives for the past week and you'll find you're answer. :) Dana

Thanks for the tip; it worked right away. The only php app I care about is gallery, and the recode package doesn't seem to affect it. -- Stephen If your desktop gets out of control easily, you probably have too much stuff on it that doesn't need to be there. Donna Smallin, "Unclutter Your Home"
