I am having a problem reinstalling OpenOffice in SuSE 8.2. Recently I uninstalled the default user account install of OpenOffice after finding a problem with the original installation: Whenever I activated the drop down font selection field in the main tool bar, OO completely locked up everything in the X display. So I thought perhaps that the installation was corrupt or misconfigured. Therefore I tried reinstalling to see if that would help. Now I can not reinstall SuSE 8.2 OpenOffice. And yes I ran setup from /opt/openoffice*/ . But each time I run the setup program I get this:
Preparing to use the default configuration: Saving conflicting files... /home/nightgallery/OpenOffice.org -> /home/nightgallery/OpenOffice.org.old /home/nightgallery/.user60.rdb -> /home/nightgallery/.user60.rdb.old Installing default configuration... /usr/X11R6/bin/OOo: line 855: 7826 Segmentation fault $OOo_GLOBAL_HOME/program/setup -R:$OOo_RESPONSE_TMPFILE Error: The default configuration was not created. Error: Try again or try to run "OOo-wrapper --skip-check"
And I ran with: ~$ OOo-wrapper --skip-check And although the OO installation dialogs appear, after working through the dialogs and clicking on the final "install button" OO proceeds to crash. Some one please help me with this one. Thanks.
