how to start Apache on boot?
Hello, I suppose it's a stupid question but ... I can't find the answer. In Suse 7.1 there was a file where you could indicate to start software like apache, squid, etc. , but in 8.1 that's different .. or I can't find it. How can I start Apache on boot? thanks in advance and excuse my english. Bombadil.

If I recall correctly (don't have anything but an 8.0 box in front of me), there's a magic file in /etc called rc.sysconfig (or something like that). You need to edit it (I _think_ that there was an editor for it, but vi or emacs will do fine, too; the file is a pretty simple text file, sh-ish).

Not a problem.

Hope this helps -Nick
