Hi, Are there any SuSE specific RPMs available for Mozilla 0.9? I'd love to upgrade from 0.8.1-6, but can't find the RPMs :( Thanks for any help, Steven

Me too! If you find some RPMs for Suse can you let us know? In fact I just tried the Mozilla installer from the Mozilla site, and it puked on my SuSe 7.1. Maybe I'm not holding my mouth right. -- Cheers Rich

According to the readme file at the FTP site, you have to download the SuSEConfig.mozilla script from that directory, and replace the on in /sbin/conf.d with it. Then run the command: SuSEconfig --module mozilla in order to register the mozilla components or whatever. I hope this helps, and I know that I followed the instructions and Mozilla is working fine for me. Good luck! Steven

Shame on me for not reading the readme :). It works fine now, and Mozilla is VERY nice ! Thanx !!! Eric

Hey, I notice that there is an rpm for 7.2, does that mean 7.2 is nearing release? <asked greedily> Jethro

I would imagine its a test release as I am sure that they are working on 7.2. I have forgotten the release schedule, was two or three times a year that we have a new version? I know that GCC 3.0 will be coming out in about a month, although 3.0 may not be the best version to include, due to bugs... SuSE always releases strong versions, lets hope it continues :-). On another note, will it have the HP printing utilities? HP have already released them for RH which includes full functionality for there HP deskjet series printers. Matt
SuSE 7.2's "last" beta was just released. It was announced that GCC
3.0 will not be on it, since everything would have to be tested all
over again.

Will KDE2.2 be in 7.2 ? Or do we get KDE 2.1.1 w/ 2.1.2 patches ? What kernel will we get ? 2.4.4 ? Better ? I was unable to get proper pcmcia support on a Dell inspiron w/ my home build 2.4.4 kernel, so I;'d rather let suse do the dirty trick. I downloaded the rpm, from the mozilla site, not sure exactly where, and it worked fine for me on 7.1. The solution is probably to use the rpm, not the installer, tho I ahve not tried that. It did work for me in the past, but that was back in milestones. unless enjoyed by one and all.com http://www.sirius.com/~rear
Why not just download the whole thing and decompress it in /opt? You don't need the installer...it's what I do. * Steven Hatfield (ashari@knightswood.net) [010516 17:08]: ->Hi, ->Are there any SuSE specific RPMs available for Mozilla 0.9?
