You can set kget as default downloader for konquerer in it's settings under
advanced... This download utility works very well!
Btw, when downloading from ftp's from example
konqueror copies file to a *.part file. If the download is aborted for
some reason, resuming is not a problem at all! (when downloading the
same file again a popup asks you wheter you'd like to overwrite or
resume)...
