Hi. After a 7.3 to 8.0 upgrade, calling xcdroast gives: xcdroast: allocation error: /usr/lib/libimlib-gif.so: undefined symbol: _gdk_malloc_image I deleted and reinstalled cdrecord and xcdroast but still the same error. KOnCD doesn't work either. Yes, I'm root. Any ideas anyone? Thanks, Steve.
It sounds like you have updated your imlib. The SuSE imlib update is broken.
From SuSE feedback I got: "Sorry for the inconvenience. It is now a known bug and as soon as possible we will release a ftp update for the package imlib fixing this problem.
Thank you for your report." So you are in the same boat as I am, install the old imlib rpm and be exposed to the flaw that made them update it in the first place, or wait until the fixed imlib rpm is available. -David On Wed, 22 May 2002, steve wrote:

Thanks. I took the imlib.rpm from 7.3 and got back to normal. Steve. On Wednesday 22 May 2002 18:27, David Abraham wrote:

To the SuSE people: Is a solution near? Best regards, David List
