HP Adopting Debian Linux For Internal R&D
HP Adopting Debian Linux For Internal R&D Computer and printer maker Hewlett-Packard is standardizing on Debian Linux for its internal research and development work, after deciding that using multiple versions of the open-source operating system was too unwieldy. http://computerworld.com/nlt/1%2C3590%2CNAV47_STO60507_NLTapp%2C00.html -- -- ----/ / _ Fred A. Hi everybody: Right now I am downloading an rpm to upgrade my pine email programa. If I do a rpm -iu pine.rpm (or whatever you use upgrade an rpm, havent read the man yet, but it you send me in the command for upgrading, I would thankyou very much) it wont erase my inbox nor my sent-mail folder right? By the way, anybody knows in which directory at suse's ftp I can find the latetest version of squid, and if I do an upgrade, do I have to ran a squid -z reconfigure or something? Thanks Ral _______________________ Raul Gutierrez Segales oxford@campoalto.edu.py

Thanks Usually 'rpm -Uvh' is a good way to upgrade an RPM. You will not lose your mail when upgrading PINE. I'd tell you where squid was, but I'm having issues with the vile proxy here. Usually you will find updates at ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/update.
