OpenOffice has the habit of "correcting" what I type, but sometimes it gets in my way. For example, in "Calc" I am tiping a sentence with a particular capitalization, and as soon as I press "Enter" it changes it to "his" liking. How do I undo that? I can't help but compare with excel, where just using "undo" will undo the last correction, an leave what I typed. I think in OpenOffice the autocorrection can be disabled completely, but that is not what I want, I want it to just undo the correction. -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson

Update: it is not "autocorrect", but "autocomplete". There are more cells with the same content, so that if I change one it thinks I should use the same case as for the rest of the cells... but they are all incorrect, and it doesn't allow me to correct my self. I need a feature for "Do just what I say, not what you think I mean, this time". :-( Or, "Undo what you though I meant" Ugh... this is getting to bad, reminding me of someother software... -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson

In Starwriter, turn it off with Format --> Autoformat --> "while typing" (uncheck)

Yes... that turns it off completely. What about one cell only, or undo last correction? Is it possible? -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson

Not that I am aware of but I think some of your complaints can be cured by changing the parameters of the 'autocorrect'.

Yes, that could be, but it means more work. Well... I think I'll have to live with it. -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson
