[SLE] a tool to let me download faster from many mirrors? (download accelerator?)
Hello. I am in a bit hurry to get a file around 1GB. This file is available on about 20 mirros, but each mirror only give me around 10KB/s (starting from around 40KB/s and dropping to 10KB/s). From whatever mirror I can get this file in two days, but that's too late. If I can find a tool to let me download 50MB from mirro site A, 50MB from mirro site B.... then I can get this file just in one hour. (my connection is 2,000bps DSL, can afford 200KB/s, if I really have such a tool to get the file from 20 different sites). All the mirrors are anonymouse FTP. A quick response is really appreciated! I am in a bit hurry. -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com

After serveral google searches it seems such a tool doesn't actually exist. I just grabbed the whole file after one day's downloading :( -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com
Hi list, Recently i have purchased suse 10.1 and this distro is quite new to me so i have to found my way around it. I still have a few questions: Is there a simple way to configure a Hercules card with Ati 8500 DV chipset, a built in tv tuner and a breakout box for connection to a vcr. It comes with a usb rf receiver but somehow usb is not enabled in the kernel. Although i have 6 usb ports on my moterboard. How do i enable usb in the kernel? Thanks in advance -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com

Usually for the ATi cards with built-in TV tuner, you have to us the gatos driver http://gatos.sourceforge.net/ I'm not sure how it works these days, last time I fiddled with it was when I helped someone get a Mach64 All-In-Wonder card going. small update
as far as the webcamis concerned it is seen in hardware info. Just as the rf
receiver is seen as an usb device. Still remains the question: Howto enable
and find the interface for these devices?
