SUSE 10.0 subfs and media size / free space
On SUSE 10.0: If I let a disk be mounted via subfs, the disk is mounted fine and is available to a user for writing. I can use tools (command line and KDE) to see how much is on the media. What I cannot see is how big the media is and thus how much space is available. In my case, it is an external firewire disk that is formatted as ext3. If the media is mounted via /etc/fstab in the traditional manner, I can see all this information, but then I have the problems with users having write access. I don't mind using subfs if there is some way to see how much space is free. Am I not seeing something very obvious? -- Roger Oberholtzer OPQ Systems AB Ramböll Sverige AB Kapellgränd 7 P.O.
