Did you do a "modprobe ide-scsi" before you tried "lsmod" ? If not , try modprobe with all 3 devices and then lsmod.
Yeah! That works. But how can I load the module automatically during system boot? ********************************************************************** Disclaimer This email is confidential and intended solely for the use of the individual to whom it is addressed. You don't need to load it until you need it. Try xcdroast and see if it sees the cdrom. It will load it I think. -- Bob F EMail FBob@wt.net A Truly Wise Man Never Plays Leapfrog With A Unicorn... -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/

Sorry- I just tried it and it will not load it with xcdroast. I just modprobe it when I need it and rmmod it after. Suppose you could put it in your boot configuration- I have not done that.
