I cannot get KDE's dvi viewer, kdvi, to display anything. Does anyone know if this is a bug or is there some trick in configuration? Thanks ahead for any replies.

Open a small dvi file and be patient -- it's generating the fonts, particularly if (i) it's the first time you see a dvi file or (ii) there's a cron job which periodically cleans /var/cache/fonts/* Opening a SuSE book should take "forever" under conditions (i) or (ii). Oh, I am running KDE-2.1.1 and KDVI works fine. Hope it helps, Alvaro Novo SuSE 7.1 -=- Kernel 2.4.2-4GB -=- KDE 2.1.1 10:28pm up 8 days, 33 min, 3 users, load average: 0.00, 0.00, 0.00
Hi Albert: XDvi and KDVI take forever to load. Álvaro's explanations are probably correct. On Friday 06 April 2001 22:16, you wrote:
