YOU's "Protected - Do not modify" feature
Hello everyone, I'm running SUSE 10 and I'm having problems with the latest grub update. I'm unable to boot with it so I reinstalled the stock one. Now, I'm still getting the notification for this grub update (which I don't want). I went to Software Management and then looked for grub and I marked it as "Protected - Do not modify". After this, I'm still getting the SUSE Watcher notification. Obviously, it didn't care that I already marked grub as "do not modify..." I also noticed that when I visit -once again- Software Management... grub isn't marked as "Protecdted do not modify". As soon as you close "Software Managemnt" it forgets it. Any ideas anyone? I just want SUSE watcher to turn red or orange ONLY IF there are any updates besides grub. I thought I could accomplish this by marking it as "Protected - do not modify" but it doesn't work. Thanks in advance, Jorge

That's a known feature, aka bug, of YOU, ever since it was created, several years since. - -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.0 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Made with pgp4pine 1.76 iD8DBQFDz5QYtTMYHG2NR9URAgeRAJ9J3I/K7SYBh20IYplPnUc99GoYAgCfX0iI gUfRzkb9EuROEO0QaZadoiE= =/XBf -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
