[opensuse] Is Nepomuk a Package?
Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I'm lost. New install oS 11.3; KDE SC 4.5 RC2 ("UNSTABLE"; yes I know). I keep getting messages like these: "Nepomuk Indexing Agents Have Been Disabled The Nepomuk service is not available or fully operational and attempts to rectify this have failed. Therefore indexing of all data stored in the Akonadi PIM service has been disabled, which will severely limit the capabilities of any application using this data." "Nepomuk backend for Strigi is not available" "Calling the Nepomuk storage service failed: 'The name org.kde.NepomukStorage was not provided by any .service files'" Such messages happen when Nepomuk and Strigi are enabled in System Settings, but also when they are disabled. Akonadi and Strigi are both installed. But searching for Nepomuk returns no result either in Yast2 or in Webpin. Hence the question. Is Nepomuk a package? Or is it a service provided by companion packages such as Akonadi or Strigi (or something else)? And whatever it is, how do I silence it? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

No, you can find that by searching in YaST for nepomuk with "what provides" enabled and disabled. It is part of kdebase I think.

This question might be better duited for the opensuse-kde@ mailinglist. Sven -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
