Slashdot is just reporting that HP is offering a SuSE equipped laptop:

I think that with 9.1 the issue of a 'compatible laptop' is greatly simplified. Here I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro (with widescreen) and a Centrino chipset and it worked out of the box. Including wireless. I only had to download the firmware for the wireless for some licensing issue. I said it before: SuSE did a great job with 9.1 in respect of hardware support! Regards Harry

I have to agree with this! I have an IBM X30 laptop that has wireless in it but I have never used it or even thought about it. I had it at a friends house two days ago and fired up 9.1, and it automatically picked up his wireless router and connected to the internet. I was very impressed! I wasn't even thinking of trying to get it to work..... -- +----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ + Bruce S.
