1. ftp://ftp.mozilla.org 2. grab new tar.gz of 0.9 3. mv /opt/firefox /opt/firefox-0.8 4. mv new tar.gz to /opt/ 5. tar -zxvf new.tar.gz 6. sux then root password 7. start browser then close browser 8. In xterm using your user account.. /opt/firefox/firefox 9. Enjoy That's about it. And if you had a short cut to the old firefox exe file then it should work for the new one since the path is the same. I'm glad I'm not the only one that does this. Ben, it was Thunderbird, the mailer, not Firefox the browser! ;o) Ok, go take a break, more coffee for Ben please! :o) Lee -- --- KMail v1.6.2 --- SuSE Linux Pro v9.1 --- Registered Linux User #225206 On any other day, that might seem strange...
