...trying nVidia Geforce 2, even with the nVidia kernels might not make you happy either... have banged my head on a wall with the card in both SuSe 7.0 and 7.3. It has been saaaaaaddd.......I got the acceleration working, but after that, only resolution 640 800 was possible. Not quite what to expect. If someone has a way to figure this out, please notify me...Have gotten higher resolutions only with 3D disabled.

I was looking for a 3D Graphics card that works with Suse linux 7.2 - 7.3. I have been trying to get ATI's All In Wonder 128 Pro to work without any success.

i have had no problems with my geforce2mx.. i'm using the nvidia drivers @ 1280x1024x24bit. very stable and 3d performance is excellent. the only problem i ever had was quitting x would hang linux if i was using a framebuffer console. compile the kernel without framebuffer support and the problem went away (don't really spend much time in the console anyway..) --trey
Go through and make sure you have all the DRI lines, mesa, and anything
relating to vodoo removed. If you don't enabling the 3d functions will
crash you like a bug on a windshield. "Bugged" me out too. :) (okay that
was bad)
Also, run 3Ddiag. It should give you some good ideas. Lastly, the howto at
nvidia's website tells you exactly what needs to be added to you XF86Config
and what needs to come out. Have you read those?
