[opensuse] No kdump kernels in opensuse 10.3?
I can't find any kdump kernels for opensuse 10.3 on x86. Are they available anywhere? Thanks! Thanks! Getting more specific, I upgraded to the latest released kernel today, 2.6.22.9-0.4-default and poking around I noticed that it works with kdump as it already has the necessary settings, kexec relocatable etc. I just needed to adjust boot/grub/menu.lst and /etc/sysconfig/kdump. I tried a test dump but I find I can't read it with crash because there are no debuginfo kernel rpms for 2.6.22.9-0.4. There is one for the previous kernel, 2.6.22.5-31 Do the debuginfo rpms get updated with the updates? Do I need to pull down a kernel-*.src.rpm to make my own? Thanks! Hm it looks like their build is not entirely in sync. Write to opensuse-kernel@ mailing list.
Do the debuginfo rpms get updated with the updates? Do I need to pull down a kernel-*.src.rpm to make my own?
Ideally, all packages should have the same version and release number. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

The default kernel is compiled with CONFIG_CRASH_DUMP=y. Is that equivalent to what the -kdump flavor previously did? If in doubt, repost to opensuse-kernel@ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
