openSUSE Linux 10.1 alpha1 and alsa sound

If you are having the same problem with the default SUSE kernel, please report a bug on bugzilla.novell.com (please read http://bugs.openSUSE.org/ first).

Hi Chema, seems like the same problem as with your graphics: the device node does not exist, and the driver (=module) does not create it. So try adding the needed devices to /etc/udev/static_devices.txt
