Hello kind, gentle, & understanding SuSE users, This is definitely OT but rather than subscribe to yet another mailing list, I thought that some kind soul here would provide me with the answer. I somehow managed to lose the feature in firefox, that when you click on an email address in a page, it opens a mail for you to compose and send. This happened to me once before in an earlier version of Firefox but for the life of me I don't remember how I fixed it. Bob S.

Hi Bob, Nah.....this isn't OT at all. In the following, the quotes are not part of the input. Launch Firefox and open up 'about:config' Search for 'mailto' in the search box if you find 'network.protocol-handler.app.mailto' than change the value to '/opt/kde3/bin/kmail' If you do not find 'network.protocol-handler.app.mailto' than create it: Right click in window Select New -> String Populate with 'network.protocol-handler.app.mailto' Populate value with '/opt/kde3/bin/kmail' That should do it. regards, columbo -- SUSE 9.3 Pro - KDE 3.5

Paul, Yep I upgraded it. columbo. That did it. Thanks so much. Bob S.
An nicer value for this is "kfmclient exec %s" - this parses the contents of the mailto: url and populates subject, to, cc etc. Have a lot of fun! Will

did you maybe just do an update to Firefos 1.5 or a 1.5 to 1.5.1 version?? I did that and lost the ability to print. about:config and changed a bunch of entries to kprinter fixed that, I think. -- Paul Cartwright Registered Linux user # 367800
