[opensuse] QT5 has two download repository, which one ?
For programming using the latest stable Qt5 (not Qt4) (that is Qt 5.2 now) without downloading from Qt , which repository should I use : http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Qt5/ ? http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Qt52/ ? What does the first one contains ? Would there be a symbolic link to "always the latest stable Qt5" ? -- (o_ //\ Dsant, from Lyon, France V_/_ forum@votreservice.com -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Hi Dsant, 'always the latest stable Qt5' would be KDE:Qt5 repository. KDE:Qt52 will also work, but the difference between the two is that KDE:Qt5 tracks *releases*, and KDE:Qt52 tracks upstream stable/5.2.x branch from upstream git. KDE:Qt52 is also utilized for experiments wrt packaging before integrating with KDE:Qt52 and Factory. So, to summarize -> use KDE:Qt5, unless you really need something from git ;-) Cheers, Hrvoje

Cheers, Hrvoje Can Qt5 be installed along side Qt4 on openSUSE 13.1. I have been waiting forit since I think the latest Scribus requires it.
Thanks Russ -- openSUSE 13.1(Linux 3.11.6-4-desktop x86_64| Intel(R) Quad Core(TM) i5-4440 CPU @ 3.10GHz|8GB DDR3| GeForce 8400GS (NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-331.38)|KDE 4.12.1 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Yes. That was always the case. Issue before was that devel packages conflicted with Qt4's, but that was also resolved in time for 13.1 Cheers, Hrvoje
Thanks
Russ
