Anyone care to recommend an html editor (pref. not an over graphical one, and not Netscape composer) that works nicely with kde2 without library issues? Kwebdev and quanta don't seem to want to work for me, even with some symlinks to the newer versions of the libraries they want provided. I don't really want to start installing the whole of kde 1 to get them going if it can be avoided Best wishes to all, -- Fergus Wilde Chetham's Library Long Millgate Manchester M3 1SB +44 161 834 7961 +44 161 839 5797

Best wishes to all,
Quanta Version 2 beta 5 in SuSE 7.1 works fine ion a KDE 2.1 desktop -- Stu "The specification said Windows 95 or better, so I installed Linux"
Yast2 Online update wont allow me to update system with bug fixes and patches. When I click "Next" in the Online Update program, a dialog pops up and displays "No connection to network". My web browser can access suse.com and other web sites. I can also log into ftp.suse.com, anonymously. I would prefer to do the automatic update, so I know the network IS working. What's the fix for this ? I am confused about the directory structure at ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/update/7.1 Would someone explain what the a1 ap2 ap3 d2 d3 e2 n1 n2 n3 etc directories mean ? Thanks

They're the same as on the distro CD's. Fire up YaST and go into the 'Choose/Install packages' on the main menu (YaST1 anyway, don't know about YaST2) then 'Change/create configuration'. You will then see a list of the pkgs with the names as above with descriptions. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- John Karns jkarns@csd.net

Would someone explain what the a1 ap2 ap3 d2 d3 e2 n1 n2 n3
etc directories mean ? The number is [I believe] just a reference number for the various sections... The letters are shorthand for the various sections in YaST, eg: ap = Applications that don't need X d = Development n = Network utilities...
They are the same as on the YaST CDROMs I hope this helps [and I hope I got it correct <grins> Jon -- -=[Tigersden Internet Services]=- ************COMING SOON************* -=[For All Your Internet Needs]=- * HTTP://www.tigersden.demon.co.uk * -=[P.G.P.
