[SLE] KDE GL screen savers
Does anyone have the KDE GL secreen savers working? I have installed the mesa and glriva packages, but when i try to use the screen saver I merely reeive a lot of messages like "Creating new client: 18! Adding client as resource: 612368386! GL can not render with root visual destroying a client: 612368386! Creating new client: 18! Adding client as resource: 612368386!" There also a *lot* of kwm: X_ConfigureWindow(0x28018e9): BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes) kwm: X_ConfigureWindow(0x1400459): BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes) messages but I think this is an unrelated problem. Hoping I can view the GL screen savers, I have got the openGL visual pluggin for xmms working so I'm sure its possible. Any help appreciated. -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/

They seem to be broken, no use trying. -- Michael Hasenstein http://www.suse.de/~mha/ Private Pilot (ASEL) since 1998 -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/

They are just broken. The X-Screensaver GL savers work fine. I am starting to believe that a lot of the KDE apps in 6.3 are not up to spec. KFM has destroyed 2 of my backup Zipdisks..I would put 1 in and mount it..then umount when I was done using the icon in KFM. I would then put the next one in and KFM would write the TOC to the next zip disk that was from the last one...in effect destroying all data..so I had to reformat both of the zips. I lost 180 megs of data. I switched to GMC and gnome..and this is the weirdest thing..Gnome bloody works. *laugh* There is a first time for everything. just my 0.02 -- Ben Rosenberg mailto:ben@whack.org -------------------- "Success is how high you bounce when you hit bottom" --Gen.
