my php scripts wont display with opera just shows source with konwueror as to save file any ideas thanks
Do you mean Opera asks to save the script sources or its result? If the first is true then you need to install mod_php4 (or at least configure it correctly). Otherwise you might need to specify correct Content-Type (but usually PHP sets it automatically to text/html). Sincerely, Alexey Solofnenko. _____ < http://members.home.com/asolofnenko/ > Alexey N. Not true I'm afraid according my mp3 server, running andromeda on SuSE 7.3 and a stock apache. I have php4 installed on that server and it works under Mozilla, Communicator & IE just fine. Opera doesn't handle it all though. The php script that displays the page comes up, but you cannot use the play script to listen to anything as it doesn't handle *all* of the php calls. Doesn't handle *any* php calls! php runs on the server, the browser sees only its output. If opera fails it is because of the code that particular php script generates, not because of php as such.
It does not matter what browser is used, apache should always execute the script and never return its source. Opera **does not** handle PHP requests at all. I remember there was a bug in apache (?) - it returned the script instead of executing it if the request was broken. - Alexey Solofnenko. _____ < http://members.home.com/asolofnenko/ > Alexey N.
