Felipe.
I've been using one of these in SuSE 8.2 with no problem. I have a Sony Vaio with usb and firewire. The unit I purchased had both interfaces on the disk drive (part of the reason I chose it). http://www.neticamall.com/adwords/P_1214.htm with a 40gig drive installed. Either usb or Firewire works, but since my sony has only usb 1.1 the usb side is a little slow. If you have usb 2.0, its faster than firewire anyway so the firewire port may not be needed. I use BRU to backup to the drive into large bru (tar) archives. Works well. http://www.bru.com . As it arrived it was formated vfat, but since I don't use it for windows boxes I reformated it reiserfs. No problems to date other than the firewire port on my lappie is getting a bit flakey. -- _____________________________________ John Andersen
