Being that my Linux box is behind a Firewall and most of the time it's not connected to the rest of the world anyway I would like to relax the security setting globally (as in even more than "easy local"). How is this easily done? Christopher Jowell Application System Analyst Roche Diagnostics 235 Hembree Park Dr. Roswell Ga 30076 (770) 576-5000 X 579 (770) 576-5020 Fax

Edit your /etc/permissions.easy file, and add or change any values you like. Then run SuSEconfig. - v -- Victor R. Cardona vcardona@home.com "Behold the keyboard of Kahless, the greatest Klingon code warrior that ever lived!"
Wouldn't it be better to add these changes to permission.local instead?
This way an upgrade will not wipe out your changes.

No, no. Don't do that. Next update, everything is gone. ;-( That's what /etc/permissions.local is good for!
