I've noticed a lot of discussion about gFTP being b0rked in 8.2, now I've had no problem with it (apart from the missing GNOME Menu Entry), and given that 8.2 includes the latest version, I wasn't going to do a package until a new version was released. However, if people think they would find value in me doing a package of it, I'll do so, so let me know. Your choices are: A) Yes James, please do a package of gFTP B) No thanks, I'll stick with SuSE's Remember, if you don't vote, don't complain about the outcome - use your voice! :) -- James Ogley, Webmaster, Rubber Turnip james@rubberturnip.org.uk http://www.rubberturnip.org.uk Jabber: riggwelter@myjabber.net Using Free Software since 1994, running GNU/Linux (SuSE 8.2). I vote A. But you only get the free beer from me if it works. Cheers and thanks for the light relief. Steve.

I've had no problems with gFTP. Certainly nothing like the problems reported here. So I'll probably stick with SuSE's, unless there are some shiny new features :-) John -- John Pettigrew Headstrong Games john@headstrong-games.co.uk Fun : Strategy : Price http://www.headstrong-games.co.uk/ Board games that won't break the bank Valley of the Kings: ransack an ancient Egyptian tomb but beware of mummies!
I vote Yes. I actually fired up gFTP lastnight for the first time under 8.2 and found that when I click on a remote directory it just sits there I have to right click and choose change directory for it to actually change the directory. That kinda makes it a PITA to use...granted I only use it 20% of the time. Otherwise ncftp works like a charm. ;) But a new pkg would be very nice. -- Ben Rosenberg ---===---===---===--- mailto:ben@whack.org Tell me what you believe.. I'll tell you what you should see.
